2024 Artist: Tara Cochrane
Tara Cochrane is a visual artist working primarily in painting and collage. She is the creator of the Telezma Tarot (2021) and the gallery coordinator for Splendorporium Gallery in Southeast Portland. She is inspired by odd juxtapositions, moments of wonder, natural beauty, meaningful coincidences and dreams. She loves bold colors and rose season.
CURRENT PIANO LOCATION:IN THE SHOP GETTING REPAIRED!My design celebrates musical creativity. I chose a vibrant orange for the background because it feels like a color of expression, joy, and optimism. The sun and moon represent the dualities inherent in the instrument: the black and white keys, the left and right hands, and the gentle and bold moods that can be expressed. The synthesis of these oppositions can give life to infinite expressions of beauty, represented by the roses and the lemniscate.
